Estudio a las comunidades microbianas en diferentes ecosistemas para la búsqueda de patrones de distribución dadas las condiciones ambientales. Actualmente, analizo el microbioma del suelo del bosque templado en el ‘Parque Nacional La Malinche’, y el microbioma asociado a diferentes organismos, entre ellos, plantas y vertebrados.

Líneas de investigación:
• Comunidades bacterianas y de arqueas en suelos extremos salino-alcalinos.
• Efecto de prácticas agrícolas sobre comunidades microbianas del suelo.
• Sucesiones microbianas en diferentes condiciones ambientales.
• Análisis geoestadísticos de comunidades microbianas.
